My Background.

My journey as an Advocate started in childhood, shaped by a sense of purpose that comes from God. Advocacy isn’t just about lawsuits or rights. It is about lifting others up, giving them understanding, and helping them build a life they can carry forward with confidence. Through my work in Litigation and Education, and my committment to ministry, I equip and empower people every day.

EDUCATION & WRITING

I began my education career in 1986 as a Legal Instructor and have taught at several colleges and universities. (Currently, I substitue teach at Wayne County, Michigan  elementary and high schools). Thirty-one-plus years in the business of writing, I understand how important it is for learners to grasp and interpret complex legal language. Strong legal writing begins with clarity, and I create material designed to make the law easier to understand.

As a Legal Writing Coach, I use the I.R.A.C. method—Issue, Rule of Law, Analysis, Conclusion—to guide the student, through real-world legal writing. Through case scenarios,  the student creates pleadings, briefs, motions, and other litigation documents in real time. This one‑on‑one approach helps each student feel prepared from day one as they begin their work as a paralegal or legal professional. (See Student Testimonials). Coaching is available to other learners.
